Our volunteer program and our volunteers play an important role in our shelters success. We have many volunteer opportunities for those wanting to help homeless pets.

Mobile Adoptions:  Work in a team to take shelter dogs to off-site adoption events.

Fundraising:  Help create, set up, take down, advertise, and run our fundraiser.

    Annual Events

Trivia Nights (Varies)

Strut Your Mutt (Summer)

Wine, Whiskers, and Wags (Fall)

Rummage Sale (Summer)

Golf Tournament (October)

Begging in the Streets (May, September)

Bell Ringing (Christmas Season)

Shelter Assistants:  Walk and socialize dogs; socialize cats; help with cleaning; unfold newspapers; other miscellaneous tasks.

Development Team:  Help us develop corporate support, increase shelter awareness and build our volunteer base.

Before volunteering at the shelter, you must first go through our volunteer orientation.

Volunteer orientation is held on the first Sunday of every month, unless it is a holiday weekend, from 2pm to 3pm. Please check our events calendar for exact dates.

Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Minor volunteers are unable to walk dogs on their own.
